Why isn't my remote control responding?
When a remote control doesn't respond, it quickly seems like a defect. In many cases, however, the cause lies in simple settings or the connection between the transmitter and receiver.
In most cases, neither the remote control nor the light itself is defective.
Possible causes
| battery | The battery is empty, inserted incorrectly, or unsuitable. |
| Channel not suitable | The remote control and receiver are set to different channels. |
| Not coupled | The remote control was either not programmed or not programmed correctly. |
| reach | Distance or obstacles interfere with the signal. |
| Receiver without power | The receiver is not receiving power. |
With modern lighting systems, the remote control and receiver often need to be deliberately paired. If the wrong channel is selected or the pairing is lost, the light will not respond.
If a connection cannot be established or there is uncertainty, a professional assessment can help to narrow down the cause.
